That would be too good. Needs to be done on a regular basis.

I don’t disagree if capital punishment was lawful.

I don't feel particularly comfortable leaving justice to murderers and rapists.

Costly process. One of the lags will do a ‘cut’ price job. Save the tax payers money.

And then bury him alongside the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six. Oh, wait a minute.

This. Also not particularly comfortable that people think more hate is the answer. It changes nothing and you learn even less about why? Hate only breeds more hate. When/If someone like Sharif is murdered in prison, some might experience some bizarre dopamine high or satisfaction of ''justice''. Yet when that dissipates, I doubt many will think that they have learnt much or that we are steps closer to understanding why some human minds/brains do what they do. This is why I'm personally against the death penalty - because no one really learns anything from it where it matters. I would rather psychologists and psychiatrists study these brains further, to see where we can more deeply understand the mind of a killer. Do not be mistaken that in ''understanding'' their brain, doesn't mean we are accepting what these people do - nor are we stating that this somehow limits their liability or excuses them; it doesn't. Learning more about how the mind works, can lead to more preventative measures, possibly recognising early signs in people who could potentially become murderers/rapists/pathological killers etc. with further potential to nip it in the bud before it ever even becomes close to that type of thing. This has always been a bigger motivator for me, than to just say ''hang them, electrocute them, let another prisoner kill them''. We can still possibly want that {in anger}, we can maybe want someone to harm them, to chop their bollocks off with a rusty penknife. It's understandable to want someone to feel pain/harm in a way that they inflicted upon others but as to actually {and often quite nonchalantly} wanting this as ''justice'', I'm sorry all that will do is leave people just wanting more blood per se. Relating back to that ''dopamine'' high, it works in the same way. You get a hit of what you desire but when that tops out you want more, or search for more to maintain it. How then would it be healthy for a supposedly averagely healthy human being, to want people to come to harm, masked in the guise of ''justice''? Only for them to continue wanting this type of satisfaction. A satisfaction in itself that also becomes dangerous, addictive and unhealthy too. Your own desires for someone to become hurt/killed ultimately will become not ''enough'' and you'll desire even more. Your ''justice'' will not really feel like justice any longer and everything you thought it could be will leave you with more questions and unsatisfied answers, in the search for yet more so called ''justice''.

Noboby has said that. Think a little bit more about what you suggest. People who are put into prisons to be punished. Do you want them to hone their criminal skills and commit murder? If that's the case, wouldn't you want a person who has murdered another one to do that for you? If that's right, are you really condoning murderers murdering as long as they murder the people you want murdered?
