Very good JJ, I have never had that before but sounds awesome! We had Haggis, neeps and tatties last night so I was just clearing up the leftovers there for lunch!

Ha....is there nothing that will unite Townenders? Haggis, black pudding, crab....all examples of food of the poorest of poor Scots which now graces the tables of the rich and powerful. We have much to thank Scotland for! (Now there will be an argument about who invented black pudding, but the best comes from Stornoway.)

That's interesting about Stornoway black pudding. My favourite comes from the West of Ireland from a place called Kelly's which is in County Mayo, in a small town called Newport. When we were over for Christmas we bought 8 black puddings to bring home and subsequently left them all at the mother in laws house, along with a jacket that would have been very handy during the recent cold spell!!
