I only got detected because my blood pressure was high when I went for my flu jab. I had a blood test & then when tested my glucose level was apparently 27 (which is almost 500) so was lucky they picked it up.

In hindsight I had been drinking a lot of water as I was always quite thirsty.

Does make you wonder how many people are walking around with really high levels without having any idea
Absolutely. When I got back to the UK from Ireland my BP was 240/130. Ready to blow! But you’re  right, there are no symptoms - I felt fine. For a few quid people can buy a BP monitor £25 and a blood glucose tester for similar.

That’s the big problem in the UK. Nobody goes to the GP until they have symptoms. Need more preventative testing.

Not stressed at all. Felt fine. Spent the previous 10 years training greyhounds so had plenty of walking exercise.

No wonder they call it the silent killer. And so easy to get under control as well.

Nobody sees a go these days because it’s impossible to find one.   Gone are the days when you could just phone up and get an appointment the same day.  (Lucky nowadays if you can get one the same month).

You can in South Cumbria, also coincidentally they have been chasing me for a BP check, which I had done at the chemist's in the village, apparently at the high end of ok so suspect they will want a chat.

Thought VAR was going to overturn it on the grounds it was against Liverpool.
They should have been down to nine men by then as well, and Robertson's was borderline too

Not very Liverpool like and sense things are on the slide under Klopps reign.

I am sure I am wrong, but is Klopp a one trick pony?  A good one, especially when new to a club, a very good one.  He just seems to try and push out more of the same, but gradually losing the impact on the team he would have had in the earlier days.  Success can sometimes bread contempt - the amazing years of Ferguson are underpinned by the fact he either changed the players or the structure of the team once it started to look like they'd dropped off a level.  Even tougher is to be as successful when changing it all.
