Our neighbours are a lovely retired couple, and they're moving to Spain next week.  Which is sad.

However, they have just brought over several bagfuls of perishables to ask if we would like them and save them throwing them out...including enough alcohol to sink a ship.  And this makes me happy.

Having three job interviews and receiving two job offers as a result having only been home for just over a week. I expected to have to end up signing on for a few months.

Nice one sonic.

I heard that things are picking up jobwise, at least in the financial sector in london it's apparently good at the moment from someone I know who works in t'city.

Cheers. When do you move back? Are you just transferring with the same company?

I was pleasantly surprised at the number of jobs about, I've even turned some down which is a first for me

Man United in 9th spot after 5 games.  Early days, but that's still going to hurt.

Was there ever a player who is remembered for a single game like Steve Robinson is?  He scored a grand total of 5 league goals for the club during a stint that lasted 5 seasons - and 2 of them were in that game.

Spoke to some Turkish people on holiday. They are so so passionate about football but sadly seem to think fans fighting is the way to show passion.
