Hi Reg...that had me thinking....so this sheet shows Bromley in Kent....formed back in 1892 only having played one match up untill 1976......with no goals scored and seven conceded!
While it dosn't give the county after the name Bromley the year formed is the give away.

Bromley by Bow has a football team but at a much lower level...and have never played in the cup from what i can see.

However, another one which has niggled over the years, is when we put 5 without reply on Ashford Town in 67, was that that the Kentish Ashford, which I've always thought, or the Middlesex Ashford?

According to their club history on their website, it would appear that was the Kentish Ashford. They impressively played league opposition in the FA Cup 4 times during the 60's.

Got a CD of Diamond Head live at the BBC. They used to pitch up in the Amphi of the Brunel Rooms early 80s and were bloody excellent. Never made it but had a bit of a renaissance after Metallica covered a couple of their songs. The opening of Am I Evil is pure class. Good live but not so good on record - a bit like a heavy metal Dr Feelgood.
