Browsing some gifs and saw this and realised it might never have an appropriate moment, so thought I'd post it here.

We put 7 on Bromley in the 1st round of the FA Cup 1976...I've always been a bit concerned about whether that was the Broimley in Kent, or Bromley by Bow in East London....assumed it was the Kentish version, with a nagging doubt

Hi Reg...that had me thinking....so this sheet shows Bromley in Kent....formed back in 1892 only having played one match up untill 1976......with no goals scored and seven conceded!
While it dosn't give the county after the name Bromley the year formed is the give away.

Bromley by Bow has a football team but at a much lower level...and have never played in the cup from what i can see.

Edit.

Very confusing though Reg....because even though on wiki the year matches up(founded)...no mention of them v us!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bromley_F.C.

Think i may have to have a word with ol Ploughman....he should know Cheesy

I cant find the cheese thread.  Well I cant be arsed to try and find it to be fair, but WBA captain Chris Brunt was at my gig last night.

His confused response to the cheese question, 'erm, the stuff on top of pizzas, whats that?'

It's great how the cheese question catches people off guard. We had a very heavy session in the British Lion in Devizes a couple of weeks back, and were discussing cheese at the end of the night as they were trying to empty the pub. The barman (cool bloke, sings for a band called Kinasis) answered the cheese question with "roule", which caused great merriment. He has since apologised, and offered port salut as an alternative.

I did put him right on what the cheese on top of pizzas is.  He was a decent bloke.

We talked about PDC and I took the piss saying that according to Robbie Savage premiership footballers are wouldnt be able to take it because egos are to big and asked him why he was at a biffy gig as footballers are supposed to be into phil collins.

Which he took in good heart bless im.

I doubt many modern footballers are into Phil Collins, or have even heard of Phil Collins.
