We did see the Jehovah's Witnesses a fair bit when we lived in Lancaster until my other half who is a (very rarely) practising Catholic told them that and we never saw them again (seemingly suggesting that you actively bat for another team seems to scare them off), we don't see them here as much but that's mainly as their daughter is mates with ours so we see 'em at the school gate instead!

I do seem to attract the bloody Mormons on the train round Chorley rather too often!

We have Mormons up here, of all places. It's quite entertaining imagining these young lads from Utah finding out their mission is to a tiny, wet, windy Scottish island which runs pretty much on alcohol and coffee. It's probably not the plum gig. They always seem ludicrously cheery though.

£400 for a 5 day school trip to Wales. That is ridiculous. £85 deposit before 1st November.

Does it include activities (like caving, rock climbing)? Our school residential for 4 nights near Swansea has gone up from about £180 to £350 in the past few years.

Buy some blankets, guys.

Qatar has stated that if Israel doesn’t allow humanitarian aid in for Gaza they’ll stop entirely gas production.

It is.

I just asked my wife how much it was for the DNA when he went about 8 years ago and we think it was the £300 mark plus or minus £20. Did you know SBC own it?

Do you know how long they have owned it, thought it used to be owned by the Wiltshire school’s authority.

Our school (Calne) had a trip there every year in the 70s & 80s.

North or South Wing? I was South Wing 81-88.

When I was there it was both.

North Wing (Fynemore) for years 1-3, South Wing (Bentley) for years 4-6.

I was there from 1975-1981 (I left after 1 year of 6th form), so will have just missed you
