Just found out that my kid's class have had a 'Mrs Meerkat' toy that the kids take home for a week, it comes with a diary so you've gotta take photos of what you do with the meerkat. Seems its been doing the rounds all year, but my little'un hasn't had it at all.

They used to have something similar when my sons were in the infants.  It was a bear and was given to the child that had been the best behaved/worked hardest that week.  I remember children getting upset when they hadn't had it, but by the end of the year all the class had taken it home, some kids had it several times.  It's a bit mean to not ensure little ones all get a go.

In juniors, they do 'Star of the Week' for which they get a certificate.

He's had star of the week before, they get an invite to have their lunch on the head teacher's table. As you say, seems odd to not properly ensure all kids get a turn. Two other parents have now said they haven't had the teddy.

Tesco changing their delivery conditions six months into our annual agreement. We moved out to the sticks late last year so we decided to pay an annual delivery payment as it meant we could get deliveries whenever we wanted them. Perfect if we forgot a few items, now you have to spend £40 to avoid £4 surcharge. Tossers. Bit annoying really.

Being good gets them an invite to sit on a heads lunch table? Sounds like a punishment to me.

This. Also "love you long time" really pisses me off.

It would definitely be a punishment at my son's primary school.  Their headmistress is quite intimidating and would scare the shit out of the real little ones.

If they're not linking it to star of the week or similar, it should be done on a rota, so all of them get a go.

Cockroaches.

I don't normally mind creepy-crawleys but cockroaches are cheeky cunts. They just walk all over you and try to drink your beer and stuff when you're not looking. Sometimes they even try when you are looking.

Just fuck-off, you multi-legged pricks with your sense of entitlement. Just fuck-right-off.

The James McClean 'controversy'. The bloke is Irish, he didnt turn his back on the Union Flag he just chose not to face it, big deal. Its his choice to do what he thinks is right. Not offended me in the slightest.

The mild annoyance is with the media trying to stir it up!

I'm new to the James McClean debate.

But if he really feels that strongly about it then why is he playing for an English club, in England, that is supported by English fans?

Just for clarity it's not offended me in the slightest either, I just think he's being a tad hypocritical.

He obviously doesnt feel that strongly, but he doesnt want to stand to attention whilst looking at the union flag. Its not that big a deal. Good to see a man stick to his convictions.

Another story thats got on nerves is closer to home.

Think Morrisions have acted very well here, done everything they can to help and yet they're being portrayed as the bad guys. Not sure why really.
