I applied for a visa a month before I was due to come out here, didn't get it sorted in time.

I was only accepted into the uni in August so couldn't apply before then as there was a chance I wouldn't be coming here (Belgrade was the back up). I organised this whole thing myself, no erasmus help, no uni help (they didn't really want me going here and I was discouraged from doing so). I did it all, so putting it down to naivety is unfair...

No help from either uni. Everyone else had their year abroads signed sealed and delivered, but the politics surrounding my choice and my degree meant I didn't.

You haven't commented on the Bosnia World Cup Draw yet! Hope they strive to qualify from their group. How was it in Bosnia tonight on this momentous occasion?

Could have been better, could have been worse. It's between Nigeria and Bosnia for 2nd place so people are pretty satisfied with the group. Last 16 would be a good achievement.

You seem rather subdued EmpathySloth, thought you'd be buzzing about this. Wonderful achievement.
Moslem derby v Iran will be a talking point. Some duffer on BBC said that was the rotten apple of all the games. What does he know!

Half English, half Bosnian. British passport.
Out of interest and being nosey, why haven't you got a Bosnian passport? You obviously proud of your roots so I'd have got myself a bosnian passport as soon as I could have. Surely having a bosnian parent allows you too? Then problem would never have arisen.

There's the novelty of a team making their finals debut and a team that doesn't make it to the finals much. Much rather that then the likes of Chile Australia, Greece Japan, Ghana USA, the whole of group H.

Never felt the need to. Normally only come to visit family for 2 or 3 weeks a year, so apart from this year abroad I'd have no need for it.

I'm not casting aspersions here, however, i'm staggered that a Bosnian University would take a detrimental attitude towards someone with Bosnian ancestry who has made the huge leap of studying in their ancestral homeland, with all the attendant problems that it must have entailed on your behalf. Shame on them.
Have you been behaving well because I know you had issues at your hall of residence in England?

Fair enough ES. I think if Scotland got independence (which isn't going to happen) I'd apply for a passport as soon as I could. Just gives you options.
