This bit made me laugh as much as any other: Meanwhile, United will play Ilkeston or Kidderminster away in the FA Trophy third round if they beat York on Tuesday. Seeing them go under or slip too much further would be quite sad, what's the point in having a rivalry with a team if you don't ever play them? Oxford vs Supermarine would be good though, and I'm pretty sure you'd get a few thousand there if it was moved to the County Ground! |

Totally agree.....in a shit season like this the home and away fixture ref Oxford becomes the big match of the year.......all we have is Rovers.......not the same..
Guys - I think we need to let go. I know it's hard, but we need to accept that Oxford might not always be there. It’s never easy to move on like this. We've just got to be strong. Which is why I want them to go bust and cease to be.
A rival that we don't have much chance of ever playing again and who is rooted in non league, is an embarrassment.

BBC's table isn't showing the points deduction. Have they appealed it? Either way, we could be playing them sooner than we thought! edit: Apparently Monday is points appeal deadline day. |

we've got to decide whether to appeal by monday. i think it might be best just to leave things as they are. the conference organisation is obviously a shambles, but it was partly our fault.
the league tables dont include our deduction, so with it we are 6 points off the playoffs. we have won our last 5 games, including a really good win away to crawley yesterday. we have played quite a few matches compared to some of the teams around us though.

I did some work at the Kassam on friday and was having some banter with the stadium manager. I asked him if he was a fan, "fuck watching that shite, that ive got a season ticket at Arsenal" was the reply. He also thinks they will go bust in the not too distant future and are looking at laying people off.
I laughed.
