God knows what he’d make of all the freeloaders nowadays.
Bikes for everyone!
The point at which the lowest proportion of the 16 to 65 UK population was in employment (since the great depression anyway) was 1983. Guess who'd been Secretary of State for employment for the previous 2 years? Fucking odd how the UK population suddenly comes over all workshy every time some economically illiterate ideologue tanks the fucking economy isn't it?

Felix Baumgartner
Was thinking he can't have been old. He wasn't, 56. Here's what wiki has about his death Baumgartner died on 17 July 2025, at the age of
56, during a paragliding flight in Porto Sant'Elpidio (Fermo), Italy. [49] He lost control of the craft in the air after suffering a medical episode, [50][51][52] and crashed into a swimming pool of the Le Mimose Family Camping Village, 53] striking a young woman who was injured on impact, [54][55]

I got free tickets for a morning TV thing in Hollywood many years ago. He was the star guest. They’d shopped in loads of underprivileged kids from rough schools to watch. I didn’t know who he was at the time, but he was a massive role model to them and he spent loads of time with them after the broadcast.

Ozzy Osbourne
Noooooooo!!! Only Sky reporting it so far, but assuming it’s true (it is, started to be reported elsewhere as I’ve typed) what an absolute legend. One of metal’s true pioneers. Really glad he got to put the cherry on top with that gig a couple of weeks ago. Will be playing Black Sabbath loudly this evening.
