Pool & Snooker was a huge part of my childhood and he was a part of that. I love that even until the last few years he was able to still get joy through other players and as had the chance to coach Ronnie O'Sullivan

I think that is unfortunately very true. But he was disliked at the time by the electorate, as the US were going through an economic crisis and the Senate wouldn't help him. Only got one term, which was widely regarded as a big mistake (given his subsequent work).
