We are always a selling club regardless, if an offer comes in chances are it will be accepted regardless of who the player is, you felt with Clem that maybe we would not take the first offer but would negotiate and get decent add on's and then reinvest, but now we are short of money who knows where any fee would go, whereas with Power it was take the money and run.
And don't forget we have mortgaged future payments on players by loaning money on the back of them, so whereas we maybe due x amount in y months, we are now not due anything as the money was loaned up front.
I have absolutely no issue with the Wakeling sale at all. The rumoured money we got for him was too good to turn down. What is completely unacceptable is not replacing and going in to the season with 3 strikers, one a loan that was always likely to get recalled and another a 34 year old with a history of injuries (even prior to us signing him almost 15 years ago).

We've been lovely RHM hadn't been there injured, only the 'don't cup tie him' match since the start of the season isn't it

Does it? We hardly have any players. They're all going to get played at some point even if not rated.
I meant the EFL trophy.

I thought Peterborough we’re expecting a striker to be sold on deadline day and Wakeling was a replacement of sorts, however that sell fell through last minute and they had already confirmed Wakeling. The opposite to Swindon sell and don’t get a replacement- therefore Wakeling further down the striker order than expected

bristol rovers had basically signed clarke-harris but missed the deadline by a couple of minutes.

But in the summer this forum were full of people saying he wasn't good enough for a promotion team. This can't be true

I realize this isn't the doom and gloom response everyone wants. But i would snap Wrexhams hand off at 350k for Khan. He has as many dodgy games as he does good ones in my opinion. As long as that money goes on the squad (yes there's that doom and gloom) then i think that's a decent bit of business honestly.

I’d take 350k for Khan if that’s reinvested in good replacements, with the Wakeling money on top that’s a fairly good kitty.
Unfortunately I have little faith in that being the case

Like the Wakeling money you mean? Clemente laughing all the way to the bank. Hopefully January is his last cash grab before moving on.

Yes its good money, but can you really see that being reinvested in the squad? I cant. Bear in mind that it isnt all in one lump either. I wonder what happened to the Wakeling money, bearing in mind we had to inject £250k to cover running costs in October
