I expect us to sign some bodies in January so that Clem can say he listened and added more depth, the problem is they will be a bunch of players with the background of Genesini and Kokoto, and with the loss of Young and Kemp, and potentially sale of other first 13 players, it will leave us in a worse place.  Bigger squad with less quality, unless Flynn can pull another Kemp or Young out of nowhere again.

I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to get McKirdy back in Jan, it could be a perfect replacement for Young and also help get the fans back onside.

He’s had heart surgery, he won’t be playing this season.

I thought originally they said he would be fit for a loan in Jan, not heard anything lately on whether that has changed.

Is he back from heart surgery yet?

We won't be getting Mckirdy back while there are still people on the coaching staff that were here when he was last in the building, i am pretty sure of that..

“The likes of Harry McKirdy, Chris Cadden and Jake Doyle-Hayes are going really well. If we can get them back by January, without putting any pressure on them, then they’re like three new signings"

Just from what I have heard, i don't think anyone realises how disruptive he was for the coaching staff and group of players when he was on our books.  Irrelevant of where we are now, what you do hear is that the current squad are a tight bunch and get on well with each other, players and coaches - bring Harry in and that gets ripped up straight away, it all becomes about him.

They snapped the hands off of the club offering £ for him..

Great. We have a tight knit group who are crap at football. Dare we disrupt that.

We have a tight knit group of which the first 11 are good enough to do well in this league, just not for every fucking minute of every fucking game.  If you think the first 11 are crap at football then you are not suited to following lower league football - i recommend you pick an EPL team.

Mckirdy is worth the hassle (probably) when he is scoring goals, it's when he's not that is the problem. He has had one decent season in his whole career and has been bombed out at every club that he has played at, including ours, that should tell you everything you need to know.

yeah, we aren't perfect but I'm hoping we are better than bottom 2.

mid table feels right. About now anyway.. we'll see what January brings and how quickly that happens within the window.

no argument from me that we are in terrible form though. the stats say it all.

call me mad, I have this strange feeling we'll keep kemp. I know. I know

Look, I agree our squad isn't deep enough, especially considering a club of our size and our income.

However, Crewe have used the same amount of players as us this season. Including lots of young ones. They also play the same formation.

So yes, you can point at the budget but ultimately, we can still be doing better than we are.

FWIW, It's easy to label somebody as *good* because they look tidy and technical on the ball. Or they can beat a man. There's more to football than that though. Sick and tired of every other side we play saying 'they are the best side we've faced this season' as they effortlessly stick 2 or 3 past us weekly.

If you can't do the other side of the game, I'm going to label them as such.

I’m not sure that Kemp is what we need. He is the type of player that is good in a good team. He has been good in our side when someone has been good around him. There have been some great balls from Austin, for example, that have unlocked defences and let his quality shine. But, we have too many substandard players around him.

Our problem is Kemp is the only ‘quality’ we have in the team.

I couldn't give a fuck about comparing us to Crewe or any other team in this league tbh, i don't know what their schedule has been like and I haven't watched any of their games.  What I do know up until October, we could and should have been on maximum points.  The reason we weren't was because we dropped points because we couldn't defend a lead, or because we couldn't beat 10 men.  A big reason for that was having nothing on the bench to freshen things up, therefore we had certain players playing every minute of every game and not being able to give them a rest, which has partially resulted in us playing some of the better teams in October and not only looking completely knackered, but still not being in a position to change it from the bench.

I am basing my opinions on what I have seen watching Swindon every game this season, not on picking another side, looking at the table and their stats and using that as an arguement to prove that our team are crap at football.  Were you saying our team where crap at football in Sept or in August, or are you captain hindsight in disguise?

A midfield general, a CB and a target man sort this team out. Simple! Will we get them? No.
