Agree if Austin is going to struggle to play Sat / Tues and RHM still has to be managed carefully due to previous injury's then it may mean we need another up front.

Does Young class as experienced in Flynn's eyes as he has played a couple of season in L2 ?

I would hope not - his total minutes is miniscule - his appearances being mostly off the bench.

Other team is being the hold up hence the delay for one of the signings.

Dont think one is Edwards

Well as neither of the rumoured players is attached to a club thats an interesting observation. Unless you confirming the Lavinier FGR difficulties.

Godwin-Malife is who I heard and also I am pretty certain but I don't think we were actually in for Edwards it was Twitter talk, nobody at the club have confirmed he was actually a target.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

Anyone here going to the thing this evening with Flynn? It will be interesting to hear what he says, especially if the additional defensive reinforcements are not in by then.

At the risk of being mildly ITK for the first and last time ever, there are definitely talks between Lavinier and FGR. Not sure how far apart they are though.

I thought Nixon was the original source about Edwards.

Double edged sword.
A couple of us were talking about this on Saturday, massive town with poor support in comparison. I'm not saying everyone should attend the games but why can we only get 9k? The more support we had the better the coffers the better the budget. We often laugh at teams with 2-3000 gates but those sides are local to many more sides in and around Manchester there are plenty to choose from in the NW. Poor from the towns folk too.
If the town back the club the owner(s) will too

They were backed with the highest attendance in the league barring Bradford who sell their tickets for half a shilling each and we weren't backed. You think a thousand or two more would make a difference?

Lets not do this.

Well as we pay peanuts for players i'm surprised they can't agree terms, especially given FGR's backing. Maybe Lavinier is on the carnivore diet.

To be fair they should be able to match - peanuts are vegan.

Or drive an American v8 car and wont change for electric.

TBH FGR seem to have a much smaller budget this season according to their forum, whether Vince is pulling in the purse strings this time and looking for a consolidation season?

I'd kind of hoped that the club would be prepared to pay and invest in young talent. We have bought other players for 'undisclosed fees', not sure why UGM couldn't have been another. Unless they are keen to move Lavs on i guess.

Where does Lavinier live?  that extra 45 mins or so, if he lives in London for example, could be a pain that at the very least would need compensating for.
