I reckon we'll swoop for Simpson just before the window slams shut. *

Anyone mentioned Saido Berahino? Would someone like that be out of our budget?

Because he has generally been employed on Premier League/Championship wages until 2021. I doubt he'd have taken a drop down to our budget levels even at Franchise for a season. Palace paid anything from 7m to 10m for him 7 years ago, I doubt that came with a low wage contract (a contract he was on until 2021). He may be shit, but he won't be cheap.
More fool them, if someone signs him and pays him a top, top wage. There's a big difference playing (not always up front) and not scoring regularly at PL and Championship level to being shit at this level.
League 2 is garbage, Wickham would be better Davison.
Nope, think Davison would do a better job than Wickham. People only rate him because he was full of promise at 19 and was probably a wonder kid on FM10 or something…

Good player but very bad attitude. Several clubs in the Championship and L1 after him, I think we can cross him off any list TBH.

Very optimistic shout out for Lewis Grabban. 34, 12 goals in the Championship with Florist, released. Probably heading for L1 and wages high I’d expect, but 1 season of him would shoot us out of this shitty league.

I noticed they had released him and very briefly wondered about us potentially signing him but as you say, L1 with one of the bigger clubs I would have thought.

Grabban turned down an offer of £20k per week to stay at Forest in June, I think we can say hes not a viable option.

I would say it’s a non-starter but without seeing any previous rumours, my lad saw someone in a car stopped at the traffic lights down by the CG 2 days ago and thought it was him driving straight away. He has a very distinctive beard! He looked up the number plate and the car is registered in Nottingham. A really weird coincidence, but I can’t believe it was him for one minute.

That's exactly the sort of post that this rumour thread is designed for. Welcome to TEF, you cunt.
