Even though Garner said hes very happy with Gilbert I doubt Brentford are so keen on him benchwarming with us and I would see Barry as a replacement for Gilbert in position and style.

Will be difficult to fight off Port Vale, Walsall and FGR who have all been linked as all are closer ro Brum than us.

Hopefully KKH will put in a good word though and I expect it will come down to who can offer him the more 1st team starts as Villa are frustrated at Ipswich for his not even being in the matchday squads for most of the season.
I believe Garner also has a very good relationship with their head of loans

Absolutely, Garner has made a few connections over the years at academy level so that would put us in good stead when it comes to some loans.

Barry sounds pretty perfect for us and how we play and may be that bright spark to ignite our play off push if we can sign him, any player that has been on the books of Barce at any level must have something about him.

Lets just hope we win some games before then, its becoming clear that for a lot of fans the honeymoon periods is pretty much over!  Roll Eyes

Would love us to go after Dan Crowley who I suggested in the Summer, great ball carrying midfielder whos is still only 24 and a real box to box player, couldnt hold a place in the Cheltenham team despte being the MotM a few times when he played, a real quality midfielder.

Was at Arsenal then went to Willem II and then Birmingham. Played against Town in the 6-1 thrashing in pre season in 2019 when he was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.

Was freed by 'Numb today.

We were over run in midfield by Crowley who is way better than any player we are likely to face this season, if somebody like Carroll was in there mixing it up and stopping his runs they would not have won as easily as they did. Get Conroy back at CB asap.

Doyle linked with going back to ireland but it is also mentioned there are a couple of L2 teams in the promotion race keeping an eye on him....wonder if he could link up with Simpson, although not sure with the embargo we could afford him, Bolton manager has said he expects him to leave
