Heard the Barry link a few months back and posted it here somewhere, would be excellent and also help KKH too I am sure. Hopefully he will offer us more than the disappointing Gilbert if it happens.
Very highly regarded by Villa if not so much Ipswich.

From the Villa forum... Ashley Preece (Club Writer (Aston Villa)) already said a couple weeks ago that there's a Plan B to send Louie to League 2 in January.
According to them Walsall and Port Vale heavily linked to a loan move in January for him. |

True, but I mean the parent club have sent him to Ipswich and he hasn't played much - I'm sure they'll be looking for "contractually guaranteed" game time. Well, IMO anyway. |

Even though Garner said hes very happy with Gilbert I doubt Brentford are so keen on him benchwarming with us and I would see Barry as a replacement for Gilbert in position and style.
Will be difficult to fight off Port Vale, Walsall and FGR who have all been linked as all are closer ro Brum than us.
Hopefully KKH will put in a good word though and I expect it will come down to who can offer him the more 1st team starts as Villa are frustrated at Ipswich for his not even being in the matchday squads for most of the season.
