We have wanted Obika for the last 5 weeks. KMac was trying to bring in another first though,by the way he also turned down Mason 2 weeks ago
Any idea who KMac was trying to bring in DRS? Or position?

Got to say I am not overly excited about Caddis staying or going!! Be nice to have his experience around the youngsters but if he really doesn't want to be here perhaps it is best he goes. I am more concerned about Darren Ward leaving and the longer he stays the more hopeful I am that he will be in the team at Posh!
This. Would love to see any money received spent on trying to get Danny Hollands back. His squad number at Charlton is 22 which may not mean that much but could point to not being a first choice midfielder and we certainly need some experience. If we are left relying on the like of Obika then we really are fucked.
Just looked at his record and has scored 23 goals in 105 games (17 goals for Yeovil). Did not rate him when here but only played five games when we were not very good.

As for Obika... He was wank. But in fairness he was playing in a wank team with a manager who'd completely lost the dressing room. Maybe I'm being too kind, but he seems to be quite highly regarded wherever he's been.
I agree with this.

But we're not chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager. The Adver article says this:
'Some time' could mean since yesterday, or it could mean since Kmac was first appointed. We don't know, and it's yet another instance where something's being turned into a stick to beat the board with when we know fuck all about the situation.
I don't want him here really, but saying stuff like this:
is kind of knee jerk.
Both arriba and Nmh post a lot of sense a lot of the time, but I think you've both been a bit dramatic here.
What I meant by that was that I thought it a bit strange that we were in for a striker, when we seemed to have a few. We have already replaced some 'expensive' experienced players with some cheaper and younger replacements. I assumed that would be the end of it. I wondered whether the continued interest in Obika is a sign that other 'cheaper' options might replace the other 'expensive', experienced players that we still have. I'm quite ambivalent tbh. I'll just be interested in what players we ultimately have and how the team does week in week out.

I felt quite sorry for him while he was here, he's done well elsewhere, but he came into a shit team, low on confidence, had little or no service (he looked like he was trying to create chances for himself), i'd give him another shot.

Brilliant all this hissy fitting about KMac not having a say in transfers and HE turns down Joe Mason. hahaha

The Cardiff striker? Must have been a decent bid to get into talks with him, maybe the board do have 'considerable funds' after all.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23342660I know Chelsea have millions of midfielders and hardly any strikers but I certainly wouldn't be offering cash and Juan Mata, the boy is class! Rooney is half the player he used to be. I think we should take him on loan to build up his confidence.
