As Collins hasn't played up top and we've looked at trialists there instead seems quite obvious he'll be going. Best goalscorer at the club, but not sure he's championship standard really.

We need a target man style forward if Collins goes, not convinced Williams will get the goals and may be a bit early for Storey to play up top all season

So we've signed 7 players. 5 Spurs and one a mate of Jeds - Alex Smith must be a hell of a player. We're now looking to sign Obika and Mason from Spurs. I wish Jed and co would stop whoring STFC to Spurs. I'd rather we were crap and independent than successful and Spurs whores.

Bit disappointed with how things have worked out with Collins. Not sure he deserved to be dumped on the bench so much and he was our leading scorer last season with 18 goals. I know Williams has more pace and trickery, but I'd feel more confident with chances falling to Collins than Williams. Maybe Benson can step up, or is his STFC career over as well?
I'm not in the least bit bothered about taking a load of Spurs players on load, Watford took a load of players on loan from Udinese last season and it worked out for them. If they can improve the squad then fine, they will be playing in the red of Swindon, not Spurs. I hope our fans don't get on their backs this season for having the temerity to be on loan from Spurs and get behind the team.

I understand the Spurs worry but on the face of it we are getting their better players who have done well at a higher level,Add a couple of experenced players next week keep Ward added to Foderingham and we may be ok.Who knows it may be a total fuck up by the board but lets see how it goes.If it fucks up then they will have alot to fucking answer

It's not that they come from a single club, it's that the policy appears to be confined to what they can give us and not necessarily focused on the type of player we need or whether players complement one another. This may be corrected, and I take the point that we'd be unlikely to get Pritchard and Mason if we didn't have the link. I just sincerely hope we're casting the net wider.

Not concerned by that at this stage. The entire team is being rebuilt, if we can get 4 good players on loan at minimal costs then we can look what we need to bring in to compliment them. Couple of strong players in midfield and up top for example

Excellent post, give the board the stick they are getting now if things go wrong, but in some people's eyes it wouldn't matter if it were Spurs loanees or any other club it would be totally wrong. Keeping Ward is the key for me, just need a bit more experience in certain areas.

We are still looking at Eustace, but sounds like he will go to Derby.

The only problem I see is the 2014-15 season, do we have to rebuild again if these players return to Spurs or are sold on.

Understand the concern, but we've built the entire team for the last 3 preseasons. At this level it happens regularly anyway. The hope would be if any of the four do well and contracts expire etc we are in the best position to get them. This has happened before with a few loanees.

Have we not pretty much rebuilt almost the entire squad every closed season for the last 6 years or so anyway? That's how lower league football seems to work nowadays.

Yet another spurs player and one according to drs turned down by kmac. We have no manager yet are constructing a squad of spurs players. Pretty clear what's going on. Why alarm bells are not ringing for more people I don't know?
