Yet another spurs player and one according to drs turned down by kmac. We have no manager yet are constructing a squad of spurs players. Pretty clear what's going on. Why alarm bells are not ringing for more people I don't know?
No idea either. Although Yeovil were Spurs bitches a few years ago and it did them no harm. Staying up for them every season was a great achievement. But, you're right, something isn't good about all of this.

What's the cause of your alarm though? Is it: - the predominately youthful nature of the signings? - the number of loans? - the fact that so many are coming from one club?

Because on the face of it they are good players, i get the concern i really do but if we have 4 players on loan where fans who had these players in the championship rated them it could work out.It could go all tits up and be a total fucking mess but letí wait and see mate.If we were being dumped with Jamie Slabbers i would be more concerned o

I love the naive assumption that we are still going to bring in some experience. We've shown no inclination or desire other than publically naming a player we were never likely to get.

The fact we seem to be tied into buying Spurs players only bothers me. It's a big old fishing pond out there are we are only looking at a small fraction of it. If the players turn out to be great and catapult us to promotion so be it, but if they're shit then hell hath no fury like the Town End on a saturday afternoon

Appreciate you were asking Arriba but I'll add my twopenneth, re concerns: 1. That we are missing out on better players from other clubs 2. That we are releasing better players to accommodate Spurs players under the guise of having to reduce wages (which to be fair we clearly do) 3. If Spurs are now dictating who we sign up then STFC isn't for me (loss of autonomy). Its tricky to give up though as my son loves coming to games.. I also realise there is no basis in fact to any of this. Its just concerns. For all I know we may start recruiting from elsewhere when Collins and Caddis go.

the first one to a point. I don't think having many young players will work. Not bothered by the number of loans. Coming from one club definitely is cause for concern. More than that though is who is choosing these players. The manager walked out yet the same players are being targeted.

Excellent post, give the board the stick they are getting now if things go wrong, but in some people's eyes it wouldn't matter if it were Spurs loanees or any other club it would be totally wrong. Keeping Ward is the key for me, just need a bit more experience in certain areas.

I agree with both of these. I personally don't give a flying fuck about the Spurs link as long as the players are good enough....which we will only see when the season starts as they are here now and thats that, we have to live with it.

they won't all be good enough. That's almost a certainty. Why limit ourselves to spurs players? Who is Pullingthe strings here. Kmac clearly had enough. Whose squad is this?

I guess we are 'limiting' (if this is happening) ourselves to Spurs players for financial reasons? Are Spurs paying the bulk of the wages for instance? It might be nice if the board came out and explained exactly what the agreement we have with Spurs to put some minds at ease.

I'm just curious as to why we're bringing all these kids in from Spurs. Yes, I know Power and Sherwood are good mates, but surely it can't be just Power doing his mate a favour.

Totally agree with that. Its obvious its to help us out and i know last season Spurs wanted to send their best players to one club if possible as it is easier for their coaches to monitor them at one club.Be nice if the board said as much though
