I don't understand the Pack love in. He's not that good.

Obika to come in?

Surely the writing is on the wall for Williams, Collins et al ?

Got to say I am not overly excited about Caddis staying or going!!  Be nice to have his experience around the youngsters but if he really doesn't want to be here perhaps it is best he goes.  I am more concerned about Darren Ward leaving and the longer he stays the more hopeful I am that he will be in the team at Posh!

If we are left relying on the like of Obika then we really are fucked.

Re Caddis:

A Swindon Town spokeman told the Advertiser: "There is no comment on this as, as far as we are concerned, no bid has been received."

Don't know who to believe any more.

And Jed has got his twitterphone turned off this week

Chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager says everything about who is conducting our transfers. An absolute joke of a situation.
Kmac did not have a chance to put his side together yet people are comparing him to Malpas.
Many happy Kmac has gone. Fucking insane.

I wanted Caddis to come back and actually want to be here, but he clearly wants to leave. Get fucking rid!

Well, I think we have the former Iraqi minister of information working at the club myself, but that aside I would imagine most didn't expect Caddis to be in this years squad anyway. Cash in, spend some of it on an experienced midfielder's wages.

Pack is decent but if City are in for him he will go there, they will be top end of League One and despite being in heaps of debt are spending to get Championship football back.

As for Obika... He was wank. But in fairness he was playing in a wank team with a manager who'd completely lost the dressing room. Maybe I'm being too kind, but he seems to be quite highly regarded wherever he's been.

The same arguments were said of Malpas. Not that he can be compared to Malpas with the short spell he had as manager and in a very tough period behind the scenes. I do have a nagging doubt he wasn't cut out for management though, in much the same way. Ho hum.

Perfectly correct about the Spurs link and who's pulling the strings there. It was one area in the Business Plan presentation which worried me as it was made clear that Power, Jed and KMac all worked together for transfers but you do have to wonder our former manager's input.

The only thing that bugs me about the 'Kmac didnt have a say' theory is that the Spurs link has been evident to anyone with half a brain for months. I refuse to believe anyone who tells me he had no idea how he'd be working and he was obviously happy enough to work with it for some time or else he would resigned a while back.

Chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager says everything about who is conducting our transfers. An absolute joke of a situation.

But we're not chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager. The Adver article says this:

Quote
SWINDON Town are interested in bringing Tottenham's Jon Obika to the County Ground, but the striker is wanted by Championship Charlton.

The Advertiser understands the Robins have had a loan move for Obika lined up for some time but, with Charlton interested in taking the 22-year-old to The Valley permanently, Swindon have competition for his signature.

Town have already brought three current Spurs players and two individuals formerly on the books of the Premier League club to Wiltshire this summer in the shape of Massimo Luongo, Grant Hall, Alex Pritchard, Nathan Byrne and Jack Barthram.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Robins have accepted a second bid from Blackpool for Paul Caddis. Blackpool's initial approach of £120,000 was rebuffed by Town last week.

A Swindon Town spokeman told the Advertiser: "There is no comment on this as, as far as we are concerned, no bid has been received."

'Some time' could mean since yesterday, or it could mean since Kmac was first appointed. We don't know, and it's yet another instance where something's being turned into a stick to beat the board with when we know fuck all about the situation.

I don't want him here really, but saying stuff like this:

Surely the writing is on the wall for Williams, Collins et al ?

is kind of knee jerk.

Both arriba and Nmh post a lot of sense a lot of the time, but I think you've both been a bit dramatic here.

We have wanted Obika for the last 5 weeks. KMac was trying to bring in another first though,by the way he also turned down Mason 2 weeks ago
