Chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager says everything about who is conducting our transfers. An absolute joke of a situation.
But we're not chasing yet another spurs player whilst we have no manager. The Adver article says this:
SWINDON Town are interested in bringing Tottenham's Jon Obika to the County Ground, but the striker is wanted by Championship Charlton.
The Advertiser understands the Robins have had a loan move for Obika lined up for some time but, with Charlton interested in taking the 22-year-old to The Valley permanently, Swindon have competition for his signature.
Town have already brought three current Spurs players and two individuals formerly on the books of the Premier League club to Wiltshire this summer in the shape of Massimo Luongo, Grant Hall, Alex Pritchard, Nathan Byrne and Jack Barthram.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Robins have accepted a second bid from Blackpool for Paul Caddis. Blackpool's initial approach of £120,000 was rebuffed by Town last week.
A Swindon Town spokeman told the Advertiser: "There is no comment on this as, as far as we are concerned, no bid has been received."
'Some time' could mean since yesterday, or it could mean since Kmac was first appointed. We don't know, and it's yet another instance where something's being turned into a stick to beat the board with when we know fuck all about the situation.
I don't want him here really, but saying stuff like this:
Surely the writing is on the wall for Williams, Collins et al ?
is kind of knee jerk.
Both arriba and Nmh post a lot of sense a lot of the time, but I think you've both been a bit dramatic here.
