I reckon a short term contract from Jan to season’s end would benefit him as obviously well as us

what the hell is a box entry anyway? Simply the ball going into the box?

don't get me started on this new stuff! The latest during the world cup is 'receptions'....

Charlie Austin.

Yay or nay?

Definite yay from me. Imagine how it would galvanise the fanbase etc

100%. would give the whole team and fan base a lift. Clem is coming over 3 weeks early I have heard? Could this be to kick lindsey up his non-tactical arse or to hold the scarf over austins head?

I see that today's narrative (TM) is that Austin wants to return but Sandro's spreadsheets and Lindsey don't want him. There are still three weeks till the window opens and we're already into saga territory!

No brainer imo

Is there anything concrete behind that, looking at Twitter there seems to be a lot of bluster and potential flouncing but no hard evidence (that I can see - I may be wrong).

Oh I have seen all that confirming that he is leaving, its the evidence that Lindsey/Sandro have turned him down which is less apparent?

Given a spree of similar tweets from TSTBL contributors at the same time, I would assume it’s a conordinated message from Austin/his camp. Which goes to show where his head is at, I supposed

I'm sure he has more to offer than Brett Pittman did!

Putting conspiracy theory tin foil hat on, Austin's camp getting this out there would deflect a lot of the ire from fans when he joins his mate at Rovers onto the club and away from Austin and protects his legacy.

Seems to be a lot of people convinced Lindsey and Sandro are saying no.

I would absolutely love him back, think he’d be wasted in our team though, he’d be starved of chances.

Are our fans deluded? Austin will not fit into our style of play. We do not get the ball in the box enough.

What happens if he scores little or no goals. Will fans turn on him like any other player?

I get where you are coming from sippo, but I'm struggling to think who would fit our style of play right now.
