Not sure but I personally don't think Charlie is the best option for us. Yes all the media and shirt sales will help, but too much to lose for him with 'hero' status.

Im confused as to how Will Grigg was on the spreadsheet but Charlie Austin isnt.

What spreadsheet?

And us to a degree, I cannot imagine he is going to play out of the goodness of his heart and, I would imagine, require a wage somewhat higher than any of our other players.

I get where you are coming from sippo, but I'm struggling to think who would fit our style of play right now.

Lindsey is the problem😀

That's intriguing but Clem & Sandro want to develop players to sell on assuming that we take up the option to buy him.

That's a good point. Do we put all our eggs in one basket and sign Austin or do we recruit a CB, Winger and another striker - clearly a step down from Charlie but possibly more sensible, albeit dull.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise,

I see, stupid question, so how do we know Grigg was/is on it and Austin wasn't/Isn't?

That’s fine and dandy if the team containing our young players was actually successful. It’s only being in a successful, vibrant side that will showcase the talent. Drab, unsuccessful football will achieve neither promotion nor transfer loot.

Assuming extra bums go onto seats then you can do that too.  If he costs £100k between now and end of season, I'd be amazed if we didn't sell a good chunk of the extra 3-400 odd tickets every game to cover it.

Much the same as signing Doyle on a perm in Jan window.

I am not sure Charlie can play all four positions we likely need to make us a half decent team.
