I *think* this may have been asked of the club before and they said they would be more transparent.

I assume other agents/clubs know about player contract lengths etc so is there any benefits to keeping it 'secret'?

Probably so they can sell someone for a pittance and no-one will be none the wiser as to how much we should have really got

This looks like it might be a bit of pre-season amusement.

Maybe get him to disclose player contract lengths as well, rather than all this non disclosing length bollox they seem to have taken recently.

Simpson has got every chance of being STFC's next Adebayo.  I thought both players were very good for youngsters when here, even if inexperienced and naive..  would have taken him over any striker that we signed at the start of last season if it was a straight choice..

Fair shout.
Decent comparison.

Got time with Russell on Monday, so will do just this.

When Simpson first signed he was a fish out of water and didn't really seem to know how to use his attributes, but you could see as he spent time with us how he developed. Ipswich stitched him up completely in that 2nd half of the season and then he got injured so he basically missed 18 months of 1st team games, bar the odd sub appearance for Huddersfield.

Its a shame really because with an extra 60 L1 or L2 games under his belt, I think he would be heading into the Championship now, rather than back down to L1.

I was going to say "that'll solve the problem of him being too nice", but Steve Evans isn't there anymore.
Hopefully Alex Revell will be a goos mentor to him there.

Good signing, I think theres a lot more to come from Ty. I would have welcomed him back with open arms but to get a L1 move to a team that finished 9th last season is a good move, I hope he finally kicks on with his stalled career. I wish he had stayed for the season as I feel he would have bagged 20 goals, if Ipswich had let him stay.
