Only lived in Swindon for the first 20 months of my life, but I'd hate to see the club leave the County Ground and move outside Swindon.
But I'd still support them whatever, just hope if they have to move it's as near to Swindon as possible, it wouldn't be the same though.

[=rich]it's a case of "not in our back yard" isn't it? my mum said a bloke at her work was moaning about the new ground proposals today. he lives on shrivenham road & was saying, 'oh we don't want a football club on our doorstep'. what a cunt! she said he's lived there about 8 years, yet how long has the football club been there, 80, 90 years? he shouldn't have moved there in the first place if he didn't want to be near it. once again, cunt! people like that piss me right off!

Thats what fucks me off about that NIMBYS around the County Ground, if you don't want to live near a football stadium - DONT MOVE NEXT TO ONE. Complaints about the ground should be filed as invalid as its there own fucking fault for moving next to it in the first place.
The Shaw thing is 100% true aswell, no one goes there. I went on a walk through it the other day it's just a wasteland with nothing on it. Then again, if the club and fans had tried hard enough and put more effort it I still think we would have got it.

well its a case... the town fans that want it only 25% of them will fight we need all 4000 of our fans and club members to fight for this stadium

I think we have more than 4000 fans mate... Even thought thats all we get at home.
I think soon we may need to start fighting against the council ourselves. They aren't getting away with killing the club.

The CG residents have always known what they were moving next to. The Shaw residents moved in without knowledge that one was going to built next to them. It would have never happened at Shaw anyway. The legality and finances were just as dubious as the current club proposals, resident objections aside.
