Consider the Larch.

It'll largely be dependent on the plot, it's location, soil fertility etc. I do like Larch personally. Tbh though, I don't envisage the trees being grown for timbers. They will be managed of course but a lot of the use will be about putting back into the earth. Mulch, chippings, etc. Then replanting where necessary.

I dunno, that Hips Don’t Lie song is fucking awful, as are most of her songs actually. But she is sexy as fuck, so I’ll let her off.

There was  apiece in Private Eye the other month regarding how many trees would actually need to be planted to make any difference in Co2 terms.

One acre of newly planted native broadleaved trees absorbs 120 tonnes of carbon over 50 years. An Airbus 350 flying London to New York emits 234.5 tonnes of Co2 so essentially it takes 2 acres of woodland 50 years to offset a single transatlantic flight.

Scary innit!

When the person running the official club account confuses his work Twitter with his personal messaging and gives the club's fans more of an insight than they perhaps wanted

Our average attendance to date is higher than those up the A420 which is a poorly sub-7000. Take off the higher number of away fans in L1 and it’s even worse.

Not quite. Our home league average is 7,684 and theirs is 7,806 still a bloody good effort.

Not sure how taking cup games etc into our average would drive our average up, if anything it would bring it down surely?
