My eldest must be the only child in the country to be gutted that her school is closed.

We had a work management buy out a few years ago and I bought some shares for 1p each.

Just sold 19% of these shares for £23.90 each  Grin

Just waiting for the boiler or something to else to break/go wrong now.

You think the UK is poorly prepared for bad weather......our sons school was closed on Tuesday because there was a 30% chance of snow, they close them the day before here.  Reason - a few years back they ended up with kids stuck in school overnight because all the roads iced up - they don't bother with having salt stocks given it rarely even reaches freezing, let alone create dodgy driving conditions, so those that did venture out, with no driving skills, basically clogged the roads by crashing into each other!

It didn't snow, there was no ice.

Buried my grandads ashes today - the dedication of the cemetery staff to prepare the grave in this weather was really touching
