But it would go something like above.

That cunt would just go on repeatedly asking the same things and insist on getting only the answers that fit with his ill-informed preconceptions. His ilk would go round in circles until Power says he's spending it all on a new house, or whatever, which is something that's extremely unlikely to happen. Even if it is true.

Give such an opportunity to somebody with half a brain and a bit of investigative nouse. They might not get the answers that some want, but neither would Kostiuk.

he'd get no answers whatsoever, and even if he did he wouldn't believe them.

I did wonder, however, if it's about time Power did one of his radio appearences for a chat with Shaun.... of course no chance of a fan's forum.

We appear to be sleep walking into non league football, with barely a whimper from owner/management or fans..  For example, I wouldn't mind hearing from the Trust, about their take on the state of play..... do they still think getting into bed with Power over the CG, is a good idea?

Interestingly the club are contravening their own customer charter if they don't hold a forum of some description :

Quote
The Football league have introduced a new regulation where by clubs are committed to meeting regulation 111 Expert working group (EWG) supporter Ownership and Engagement discussion.

Swindon Town will be holding a minimum of two fans forum meetings per season with details of which being published on the official website and social media channels once dates for the forums have been agreed.

This will be an opportunity for fans to attend the ground and have their say on significant issues regarding the stadium. The meetings will be held by Club Directors and Senior Executives.

However your democratically arrived at Brexit may well sound the death knell for the pint. Obviously, being in the EU made no difference to its use, as we had a say in how matters were conducted. Leaving, however may well mean we have to align more fully with EU regs, in order to gain the benefits necesary for the economy..... JRM's "vassal state"

Why didn’t we junk miles and pounds and ounces when we went all decimal.

I honestly can’t remember. Was it summat to do with not confusing the old folk - or, as we call them today, us.

We did junk pounds and ounces, just that many people never realised.... back in the 70's/80's/90's I used to have great fun ordering things at shops supermarkets etc in grams and half a kilo etc. to be met with a blank look, so I would show them the packet with grams etc written on it, pointing out the change happened around 1971.

Miles, I always assumed, it would have been just too expensive.

When on the continent, I still work with an in-head converter, 8 kilometres is 5 miles.... which also comes in handy watching cycling on Eurosport.

You’ve made reference to ‘may’ twice, which is similar to ‘but’ and until decdided it remains where we are. The fact we hadn’t as you rightly point out were part of our shit terms to join the greater Franco German club not CIU affiliated. Personally I don’t mind the metric system it’s easier to use than than the imperial system of which my formative educational years had to grapple with before being switched to the metric system in the latter years. Besides the worldwide enconomy works with the metric system so why shouldn’t we? As for your pint at the coop, well if it makes your world spin more smoothly, knock yourself out with the warm feel you get.
