Missed my train by 5 minutes last week. Today the same train was 7 minutes late.

This fuckwit left his suitcase with £1m of jewels on a train luggage rack and it was nicked. Wouldn't you be hugging that thing tight the whole way home?

that reminds me: delayed train announcements.

Friday for e.g. every few minutes the water torture was repeated "we are sorry...10 minutes late"..."we are sorry...12 minutes late.... we are sorry 14 minutes late"....

got up to 34 then down to 28.

they must know where the fuck the train is, that it's (e.g.) 16 minutes from bath to Chippenham, so must know if its not gone through our sat in  bath it can be <16 minutes late. and obviously if it's left bath, and it's a clear track, it's going to be 16 minutes...etc..etc

I could have stayed in the pub for one more FFS.

Maybe not, but the town does need investment which is precisely what this project will bring.

This whole project has never looked like anything beyond a pocket lining exercise in its ongoing failures to go anywhere.

If it ever does move into reality, unless they’re planning on building new roads, I can only imagine getting to and from there is going to be a real joy.

Then again the council could employ their usual Einsteinian intelligence and decide sky high parking prices and new bus lanes are the answer.  (God I sound like an extra moany old bastard!)

Well if the town centre, can get one to replace the Savoy, Gaumont and Classic then surely Gorse Hill deserves one to replace the Palace.

I'm fairly sure I saw 2001 a Space Odyssey there.  Although I was a bit kubricked

Remember that time they built a park and ride opposite Penhill... anything is possible.

Copper coins...when are we finally going to bite the bullet and get rid of them?  They're an irritation.  And losing them will not lead to rampant inflation, because any opportunistic rounding up will be more than offset by discounters cutting prices from £9.99 to £9.95.  The time has come.
