I was at the park with my two boys and a kid flew down the slide and momentum made him face plant the ground.
Evil Corbynite bastards, why would they want to involve hurting children in their evil Marxist schemes?

On the subject of children.. if a child falls over and hurts themselves right next to you, do you......
a: check the child is OK and pick him/her up and help look for a parent
b: stand there and pretend you haven't seen anything.

I was at the park with my two boys and a kid flew down the slide and momentum made him face plant the ground. It happened right next to me but i was really reluctant to do anything about it. Not because i'm a heartless cunt but because in this day and age the first thing that went through my mind was would this kids parents want me (a total stranger) touching their child.

After a short pause, i did pick the kid up, dusted him off and he went to find his old man. It turns out his old man was on crutches but saw what happened and thanked me for helping. No problems but you hear more too often these days that a simple innocent action can escalate and get you in to trouble.

Just got me thinking really.

I'd pick up the kid. I've even stepped in to catch a kid that was hurtling down a slide at pace. If i get told off for being a decent person, oh well, I'll sleep alright.

I ordered a sausage stew in a restaurant today. It wasn't a sausage stew, it was a stew with a sausage in it.

I found this mildly annoying.

Allardyce - again. Touting himself for the Everton job, like hell he has any chance of it - they have just sacked one over-rated fat manager, there are hardly likely to appoint the same again.

Marmite when made slightly too thick becomes unspreadable, unless you go about it all a bit more vigorously (which then risks tearing the bread). I’ve noticed this in a few jars since the Brexit vote.

Fixed odds betting terminals in bookies, I may be cynical but as they are programmed by the bookies I assume they favour the house.....

I know that their popularity has single handedly driven the rapid growth of the bookmarking estate in town centres over the last few years!

But when you put a bet  on a random event neither you nor the bookies have direct control over the outcome (although as I estimated successfully yesterday, when town are 5 up they are almost certain to ship a goal and thus a both sides to score bet is a wholly worthwhile investment), however those machines (and the online casino's) will be working to a set algorithm?

From working in a company (although not personally) who did planning work for one of the big chains, if the bet limit is lowered bookies will close all over the country overnight as they are the principle source of income for the shops and the only reason so many shops are opening is that legislation already limits the number of terminals in each shop meaning that multiple outlets are opened in towns.

No different to a fruit machine right? Will be set to a fixed % of money out to money in. Think the old fruities were about 73% or something.

Certainly seem to be pretty toxic things to be getting involed in.
