The video doing the rounds of Demba Ba's broken leg is fucking horrible to watch (not sure I would want to share on here anyway plus its on Facebook so I wouldn't know how!)

The staff i've had dealings with at GWH over the years have been nothing but professional. From the times i've done dumb stuff and ended up in A&E, to the multiple visits relating to pregnancy/birth of our son and subsequent visits. My dad fell at home yesterday and fractured his hip, the ambulance arrived in 5 minutes, the two guys were extremely professional and managed to get him up from an awkward position without too much discomfort and he's been looked after impeccably since being there. People are quick enough to complain about NHS staff and sometimes that's fair enough and justified, but they don't get the credit they deserve often enough. I can't imagine doing a job like that. They have my utmost respect and thanks.
I've been fortunate enough to have not had to visit the hospital too often but when i have i have nothing but praise for the NHS staff. The midwives for the births of both sons were nothing short of angels. My wife really struggled with the first birth and one of the midwives stayed on for several hours after her shift to keep her company whilst i had to nip home and sort out a few things. It was her day off the next day but canceled it so she could provide my wife with aftercare the next day. She was incredible. Even when my eldest broke his leg when he wasn't quite two yet, to get him in and out of a busy A&E with full plaster in 45 minutes it pretty impressive.

True enough Aw give Cocking a break, Barry. When I lived on the South Coast....I'd sometimes head off for a walk on the South Downs, much amused by the village of Cocking and its neighbour Didling.

Not sure if serious. Apart from Renault's and Peugeot's diesels being apparently dependable, I've always understood French cars as being unreliable tin cans with weak electrics?

Agree. Apparently Motherwell fans invented it, and it fits well with Iceland's Viking heritage....

Accidentally signing into Google Chrome and then immediately removing the user, which subsequently blanked my history and removed all the tabs I had open. Fuck that made me angry. Apoplectic in fact. Firmly in the ranks of sarcasm, don't worry.

All the rage these days - think they carry the GPS tracker and data gathering stuff, but they could pop that into the clothing if they really wanted to.
