All the rage these days - think they carry the GPS tracker and data gathering stuff, but they could pop that into the clothing if they really wanted to.

It also provides cardiac monitoring.

Not sure if serious.

Apart from Renault's and Peugeot's diesels being apparently dependable, I've always understood French cars as being unreliable tin cans with weak electrics?

Quite.

Only owned one absolute dud of a money pit of a car - a Renault Laguna diesel . Based on this extensive first hand experience I declare all French cars to be merde.

I had a pug 206 for about 7 years. Never had an issue with it apart from a deer running into the side of it. Maybe the deer was French.

I've had two Clios which I had very few problems with, apart from the second one being written off on the M40 by someone driving into the back of me.

Subsequently I've had an Audi and a Volvo which both had never ending issues.

But as they produced the greatest car ever the Citreon DS, then that more than makes up for the rest!

The Citroen BX was also the worst car ever made. Looked like the bloody death star.

The only French car I've had dealings with was learning to drive in a Simca.

Funny motor, with a gear change on the dashboard. Seemingly not long after, the Simca brand disappeared I know not where.

Was that back in the days of man with red flag in front of car.
