When people share links on facebook with no form of comment. Surely if you are posting it, you have an opinion on it, we are not mind readers.

I do that... I don't have a point to make, but want to highlight that it's worth reading

I shared a petition on facebook today without commenting. I thought it was pretty obvious why I shared it so didn't think to comment, but suppose I should have said "YOU SHOULD ALL SIGN THIS PETITION BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T A REALLY TERRIBLE THING MIGHT HAPPEN" and then added ~ feeling frustrated - with everyone in my friends list which I tagged

Some of the idiot customers we get. We're selling and installing CCTV systems and, more recently, alarms. For the most part our customers are good as gold, but a select few are utter dicks. Some examples.

Demanding that they get serviced IMMEDIATELY. Fuck our queue, fuck all our other customers and new installations that equally deserve our time. THEY are all that matters and we must drop everything and serve them NOW.

Expecting us to travel across the city, free of charge, taking up half the day and some expense, to plug in an adapter that they took out when moving stuff around. By 'plugging in', I mean literally plugging an adapter into a wall socket.

Similarly, expecting us to deliver an adapter by hand, to a different city, rather than sending it on the post.

"We don't want the cameras where they are now, come and move them". (Free of charge, of course)

Being expected to make a visit to reset somebodies alarm again, when they have fucked it up again. (Free of charge, again, of course)

That same client complained about our service when we said we were unable to install a security door for him. (We don't do security doors).

Somebody had a problem not being able to view their cameras online. We checked and they had no internet connection. They complained to a bureau when we said they have to speak to their ISP about the connection.

Just a few examples of the utterly unreasonable fuckwittery we encounter. We normally take good care of our clients. It's in our best interest to do so as we get a lot of repeat business. Some of them, however, get told to piss right off after a while.
