I understand why Western governments aren't actively trying to overthrow them but not why that necessitates the brown nosing. Surely the Saudis aren't fooled by that kind of thing and realise they are an ally of convenience at best
The brown nosing is just an outward display of the props of industrial/military complex, which keeps the whole edifice up....the Saudis know it we know it, so everybody's happy....apart from people on the end of floggings and stonings for falling foul of the Quran.

Presuming you mean Ron Inglis, aka "Ron Travolta". . . . he sadly passed away a few years back. One of the Town ends characters,to say the least.

I remember him running on the pitch from the TE to give John Trollope a trophy when he broke the appearances record.

Robbie Fowler on motd. You're going on national TV, get some media training, 'for me...' isn't the best use of the English language and is highly annoying.

I noticed that as well Jan. For me...he did only use the phrase a few times, every minute.

It's strange, when we were first going out presenting at work we went on a course, which made you aware of the phrases, and noises, you use to fill in silences. It's a nerves/confidence thing. But you think these boys would get training at a different level.
I'm not happy with my presenting, but if I got a role on MOTD, unlikely I know, I'd be getting some coaching until I was happy.

Football league show not doing their homework by saying we are still involved in the FA Cup-doesn't really take a lot of research does it
