My gut reaction would be stop trying to pat yourselves on the back, the day is about the young lad and Leeds, not us. Sorry.
I agree with this, even if wasn't intended as a pat-on-the-back type thing, which I'm pretty sure it wasn't. It's about the kid. Less so Leeds Smiley

There's bound to be a bit of a mention for the Leeds game anyway with it being the 10th anniversary of the 2 fans killed in Turkey.

Can see OST and Luci's logic but have to say my gut reaction is with DMR - it's been done to make Lennon's day better, not make ourselves look good. Don't see anything wrong with patting ourselves on the back on here though (apart from TalkTalk, he might put his collarbone out again)

All of that's fine. As I said, it's nowt to do with me really.

I personally don't see it as a self congratulatory thing, just a really great, positive story. I get a bit fucked off with the negative publicty football fans get when stuff like this does not get a mention.

I will just put my point slighly differently and say that I hope that a section of the media does pick it up on this independently and it gets a bit of publicity. Cos it deserves to.

While you're here northerner, will it be easy for the Mrs to drop me off at the B&Q at the end of Elland Road, or is there mad traffic restrictions on match days?

Thanks for the 6 points (probably).

Update: shirt bought signed and framed and we have approx £200 to give to the little kid so he can spend it on whippets and gravy. Well done.

One other thing i have been asked to be interviewed about this on mark o donells show on saturday, i have already told him im reluctant because its not what its about however i have said maybe if we talk about donors and the like and get people thinking about that. What do you all think?

Obviously I want to avoid the whole pat on the back scenario and i kind of think that could be somewhat inevitable but who knows maybe my talking about it if we even get one more person signed up on the donor lists its a good idea?
