My mate at Yeovil said Baxter was brilliant for them behind a poor defence a couple of years back but is a shot stopper and doesn't come out to claim crosses much, also his distribution is not brilliant.
But that was 2 years ago so he could have improved, in the 3-0 Town win at Yeovil that season he conceded 3 long range goals by us and didn't look that great in the hom egame either.
Ross County want him back but he wants to try his hand in a better league.
Akin Odimayo from Reading was hailed as being one for the future early in his career but the last couple of years has stagnated a bit.
Big lad about 6 foot tall and good on the ground and in the air can also play as defensive midfield.
Reading fans say he was one of the stars of their U23 side but its a big step up from that level to L1, sounds promising though.
Emnes doesn't surprise me, he has to be lacking fitness but its still early in his trial.

I don’t get the obsession some of our fans seem to have with George Williams, he was released by Ecotricity and is injury prone. Isgrove at the very least is a known quantity and a useful option. |

Reading between the lines, I would assume it is something akin to, he was slow to accept a reduced wage and Power is a hard negotiator. "I won't sign for you for less than XYZ, with the response from Power being you won't sign for us more than ABC"

Would be some wankfest if we managed to sign Baxter (maybe as a surprising perm signing as view to being a future No.1) and grab Benda on loan again. Be nice to keep competition with two decent GKs again. Two young hungry keepers battling to retain the No.1 would be very beneficial not only for the Town but for them also. Somewhere in a large house near Hungerford, the elastic on Andrew Fitton's Pringle Argyle socks will have considerably loosened  Also, Hyabb. He's 23 in a few months. Contracted until EO May 2023. I have a feeling he won't be a Chelsea player before the end of that contract. Would be nearly 26 so you'd think he'd be a No.1 somewhere before then?  |

He's a good player to be fair and if you look at his injury record it's more impact injuries. We have a manager who seemingly knows how to manage players fitness so I can understand why fans would want him. As for Isgrove I felt he went off the boil hugely after his first 6 weeks. Has since spent it with his missus having digs at formations and contracts and now waiting to see if there's anything better out there. Fair enough I know it's the nature of the game but I'm sure there are other useful options who want less money |

I agree mate, Williams had 2 broken legs but hes not "injury prone" as such, he has 7 caps for Wales and impressed vs Town in his games for FGR. He would be a decent signing and give options out wide. Far more an exciting option that Emnes IMO and when he does play seems to be more consistant than Isgrove. |
