Woolery and Isgrove, pull the offers i say. Had long enough to decide now, cant wait forever.
Both are playing a dangerous game at the moment with so many good players out of contract and without cubs, to have a solid offer on the plate where so many don't. I would give them a deadline of, say, Friday and then withdraw the offer if not accepted and let them fend for themselves with the other 1,000 out of work players.

I mean maybe, but if there are that many good players out of contract then i am sure we would have signed them and withdrawn these contract offers.

I agree mate, Williams had 2 broken legs but hes not "injury prone" as such, he has 7 caps for Wales and impressed vs Town in his games for FGR.
He would be a decent signing and give options out wide.
Far more an exciting option that Emnes IMO and when he does play seems to be more consistant than Isgrove.
He’s done his cruciate as well in the past. Even after a seemingly half decent season at the Vegans when they got to the play-offs he didn’t get poached by anyone higher up the food chain and that’s pretty telling IMO and then the following season they’ve released him. I just think people see he was once in the Wales squad and get overly excited, we can’t always rely on Wellens to transform injury hit players careers. This season more than any other players with injury track records will be a risk with all the midweek games there’s going to be.

He also said that if anybody else came up they were in danger of losing the offer. I guess that's not exactly revolutionary news, but seems they aren't out of time yet

Making the odd international squad is not a particularly useful indicator of quality.

No one has taken Isgrove either. Totally understand you don't rate him but to suggest people are getting excited just because you don't rate him seems strange.

Broadbent is fine as 4th CB. RW has said Fryers is considered a CB now, so we've got 5 full backs and 4 centre halves. Won't be any more defensive additions.
According to Wellens on the radio yesterday, there certainly will be (not surprising given we had an extra centre half option last season so we were hardly going to go in to League 1 with less!)

Isgrove was coming down a division to get 1st team football, Williams last 2 seasons were in league 2 so pretty different circumstances. Ultimately Williams has been released by the vegans pre wage cap who have a pretty similar wage bill to us thanks to financial doping so if he was all that they’d have tried to keep him. The fact they didn’t offer him a new contract and have released him suggests there must be plenty of question marks over him. Anyway we probably actually sign less than 1 in 20 players on trial so he’ll probably be forgotten in a few weeks.

Yeah heard that. Makes sense. Conroy is further away that I thought.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Woolery rock up at the vegans, we took him from under their noses three years ago

Not a rumour, but from some one on twitter.
Wellens, Hunt and Woolery now follow Alex Mowatt of Barnsley on twitter and he is following STFC.
And Jack Payne.

Mowatt has just won two player of the year awards at Barnsley and cost them £600k, if only we could afford someone like that.
He follows a shit load of porn stars on Twitter 👌

Mowatt is Barnsley's captain and played 44 times in the Championship last season. Still has a year left to run on his contract.
I think that pretty much puts that one to bed.
