Shouldn't get more than 1+1.

Agreed. If he’s on (complete guess) £2.5k a week as one of the higher earners, that’s £120k salary cost over the year. For a 33 year old, we either pay 1 year (£120k) and trigger a second if he plays (e.g) 25 games and has no long term injury at the end of the year. Or we take the risk of him getting crocked, pay £240k, and risk £120k of that.

This is before considering bonuses, agents fees, signing on fees (do lower leagues pay them?), the possibility of Town insuring against long term injuries, and other ancillary costs. Is anyone actually informed on these things?

Very pleased with DJ but also surprised its a 3 year deal but hes on a free so its a no brainer really at his age, as PP says if he progresses he will be a multi million pound player, something with the greatest respect Yates will never be.

Now get Grant signed up.

The STFC rumours twitter (I know I know) suggests Isgrove signing his new contract will be next.

I have a feeling that Woolery will wait to see if Isgrove signs before he commits as he may prefer to try his luck elsewhere is Isgrove is 1st choice.

For me Woolery was more consitant than Isgrove but Izzy showed more touches of class, just they were quite rare.

Great news. I really liked Anderson but this is a potentially huge upgrade. And he’s seemingly not a massive bellend.

At 33, we should not be giving him any longer than 1 year really, perhaps with an option to extend.

*Edit. Beaten to it.

Baudry got a 2 year deal and has been very injury prone, so I’d still like to see Grant given the same.

3 year deal given to the right type of player.

Exactly my thoughts. May encourage AG to put pen to paper.
