If the salary cap comes in to force (as seems to be expected), then I would have thought we'd end up getting players on lower salaries, it's probably worth waiting.

It didn't strike me that Grant was involved.

Jerry was letting Keshi have his fun.
I think so too.

Keshi wanted to get a reaction on social media and was 100% successful. Wellens has said that Grant has told him he was going to re-sign, which is good enough for him - and that in turn is good enough for me.

I think Grant will be at Swindon for the first day of pre-season training and the revisionist "he was never any good anyway" comments will have to be revised again.

We shall see...

What was the content of the first part of the video then? In the bit I've seen Grant looks sheepish and Yates looks uncomfortable. I'd be very surprised if he's not off given this and the Nixon tweet.

Hmmm  Isn't he subject to 14 days self-isolation, though?  Although, he didn't seem to be paying much attention to that yesterday.  As you say, we will have to wait and see.

By the way, shouldn't the other two also have to isolate for 14 days, having been in close contact with him?  Smiley

Perfection is not attainable

Did we find out exactly what Keshi did to be put on the transfer list at the start of the season?
Him and Wellens hated each other, Keshi had an over inflated view of his own self worth and said he deserved to play every game, Wellens disagreed.

Fair play to keshi for buckling down and getting on with it and also to Wellens who risked playing him even though he wanted to leave, master stroke by Wellens from the 1st game.

Keshi has talent and pace but lack of final ball will always hinder him and at 25 I am not sure he can improve on that side of his game any further, he doesn't have a footballing brain, he has a greedy brain which works when you have the skill to hit the target far more often than he every acheived with us.

Hes a decent free role breaking midfielder/who needs to have a system fit around him as he can't seem to fit into a system, hes not too much of a team player. Hes like an older DJ with less talent and potential.

When his mind is in the game he can be a huge asset at this level but he needs to have a very hard working midfield around him as he tends to lose the ball a lot.

As for Grant, its clear he can do it at L1 level, as others have said he was Shrewsburys best player in L1 but he fell out with Ricketts, has been player of the season at Port Vale/Shrewsbury/Crewe/Southend and did well at Peterborough too.

He doesn't always win points as a striker can do but he can certain stop us losing points by protecting the defence, which he does so well, the best defensive midfielder I have seen in years, even better than Kasim IMO.

Not as much of a play maker as Kasim was, but breaks up play and wins the tackle as much as anybody I've seen in that position. So strong.

Keshi is one of those players who has promised so much ever since he signed from Palace but has never really lived up to the potential we thought he had.
