Now Preston is gone I wonder I wonder if the ex Town loanee returning could be Turnbull, we approached Coventry before he signed for Northampton and we know Power is a fan of his.

Brown has already stated that he was referring to Mayo. That's not to rule Turnbull out though, of course.

Well last year, it was between FGR and us for Woolery. Assuming Vince is still interested, you'd expect them to be higher up the league next season.

I have heard the Turnbull rumour from 4 unconnected sources, haven't heard about FGR in for him too though.

I was told a loan deal again for what it’s worth. Manager at Northampton doesn’t rate him. I’m not sure he’s what we need personally. May be an asset at this level though.

Interestingly, something else I’ve been told with regards to the budget.
Brown has been given the same budget DF was given at the beginning of the season, as opposed to the higher budget we ended up with at the end of the season after the signings of McGivern, Preston, Richards and Anderson permanently. Which obviously all happened mid season. Which is where this ‘slashed’ has come from.
If that makes any sense?

Makes sense and is what I'd expect. We threw money after injuries and a play-off spot because the competitive budget DF got at the start was wasted on a lot of shite.

If that makes any sense? that would be good news. well it would be if we're weren't saddled with some of the shite from last year..

Yes. Don't think a Conroy and Turnbull CB pairing would work that well.

I started to write, ‘then there is nothing stopping power doing the same if it’s needed’ then I got to thinking hasn’t the transfer and loan arrangement been changed for this season? If not the only thing stopping power would be having his fingers burnt by Flipflop.

Bit harsh there, Batch. I’d be happy to see him back at the CG - especially as the Cobblers cast offs seem to like the Wiltshire air! Is Kasim still there?
