I also like the small dig at Preston about moving for the money and not wanting to be part of the Swindon team for next season, only having players here who actually want to be here.
Flitcroft said the same about players he failed to land. Its an easy excuse when you get outbid.

I have heard the Turnbull rumour from 4 unconnected sources, haven't heard about FGR in for him too though. why the hell would anyone whose seen Turnbull play want to sign him?!
Because since then we've seen Lancashire Robertson and McGivern

And they were poor in a lower division.

I actually think Lancashire will be good with the right partner assuming he can get fully fit, Brown seemed to hint that he may have a fight on his hands to get over his injury

I like him but feel this makes sense all round if they pay a fee.

think he was hard done by regarding playing time, wouldn't blame him for going in search of it.

After the first game at Carlisle I thought he was going to become a bit of a cult hero. Not only did he score (possibly with his arm), he was also one of those niggly irritating footballers who you just hate when they play against you.

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

We're top heavy and need to move at least one ST out to bring any in. We also need wingers. He's not a winger, and he's probably 5th choice striker. Any cash, and he goes, unfortunately.

There were not many bright spots last season but mullin was one of them. Really surprised he didn't get more game time. He's never going to be Messi but he puts a good shift in and hard as nails. A right niggly fucker. Would keep him and get rid of others. Taxi for Anderson. Woolery's finishing is like giving Stevie wonder a gun and a target 100 yards away, getting him pissed, spinning him around and telling him to shoot at the target.

I think we need to realise that we just weren’t good enough last season -no matter how you would juggle the players. Fresh blood is needed in almost every area.
I agree that Mullin got a bit of a raw deal regards playing time and those who started ahead of him. If we want to see how Brown will change our fortunes round, he needs new, different players.

Its a shame there's not much there for Brown to work with.We finished a season without a spine of a team.

Said it before (but can’t remember where) Mullin suffers from playing football in a time where classic big man/little man strike partnerships are dead and buried.
He reminds me a bit of Steve Finney - we just need to find Mullin a Chief and he’d score a hat full.
