Was the umpteenth new george best.but decent for us,could take a pen!

Achieved the rare feat of scoring a hat trick of pens v Walsall.  Not sure if he's the only player in our history to do that, certainly the only one in my time.

Yeah I was at that game, mental. I've never seen it since for us. If there is a list of who has scored the most against us, I bet Buckley is at the top, the bastard Smiley

We did this a while back for James Hayter, Bucko is up there, but the daddy is Tommy Tait with 19  Smiley

Great childhood memories of that mid 70's team Anderson, Moss, Mchale, Prophett, Syrett, Dixon et al. Those cup games against Fulham and Everton - oh to have a similar cup run any time soon to get the juices flowing.

Wilf Dixon would be brilliant in this team as a minder for our midfield. Nails.

Yes we did this recently.  Here is the list and, of the more recent adversaries, Beckford is now right up there:

Apart from Buckley, who really used to annoy me, Nicky Forster was another.

By coincidence, I was reminding myself of this game* earlier today, which featured four of those (alnong with some other greats like Burrows, Butler and Trollope).  I was at the game and remember well the pull back on Anderson when he was through on the keeper but we got the last laugh with Eastoe's equaliser.

*Edit - Having trouble posting a simple url link to the Youtube footage of the 1975 cup tie between West Ham and Town.  Getting that black bar again!  Crash

Funny, I've never really got in a cold sweat about Beckford.  Apart from the last time, can't really remember him ever scoring against us.

Alan Shearer was our nemesis for a couple of seasons.  4 games for Blackburn and scored twice against us in each one.  Same boring celebration every time too.

If we did an all time 11 of hard men who have turned out for us, there are 3 shoe ins there with Mchale, Phrophett, and Dixon, only slight hesitance with dixon, is that he'd be up against Rambo for the RB spot..

Talking of hard men. Darren Bullock, Scott Leith and Steve Mcmahon would be a formidable midfield trio. Ruddock and ooh Shaun Taylor centre backs with Sol Davis left back.

I'm sure he's a terribly good footballer and all that but where has all excitement regarding Keshi Anderson's ability coming from? I see a loan move unfortunately cut short by injury and the rest is an impressive Non-League record (which Jermaine Hylton also has).

I genuinely know very little about this kid other than Doncaster really want him too.

All I know is he used to play for Barton Rovers; now if you're heading from the east of England, towards the west and wish to avoid Luton, then there's a decent round the houses route through Barton le Clay.  If he turns into something, Hatters' fans are going to wonder how they missed out.....much like on Kevin Phillips.
