Fuck Bournemouth, I hope they collapse inwardly on themselves. Luongo is too good for them and is a great player who's simply played too many games this season.

quote author=pauld link=topic=28647.msg1268552#msg1268552 date=1398856420] +1. Really like Luongo and would be gutted if we sell him because other clubs can see what we can't [/quote]
+2. The logic of this is idea crazy. A player is exceptional but fades so sell him? Well, he can be good again because we'be seen him be that good. And if it is about the money his price can go up because he can play better - which we've already seen. Oh and he might be a fully fledged international in the future, which will boost his value and his exposure massively. And probably make him a better player too.
That is ignoring the Spurs side of it which Power publically said was a 30 or 40% sell on clause...

Well that's all very true and enlightened, but what are the chances we go back to the familiar cash-in-to-shore-up-the-short-term approach, in light of the ongoing uncertainty and consequent unwillingness of anyone to put their own money in until it's all sorted?

From what I've heard we have yet to pay a fee for Luongo to Spurs. We only pay the fee to Spurs once we sell him, so he's an asset and a liability.
Another Jed 'half-truth'.
I heard we just took over the remaining value of his contract at Spurs and didnt pay a fee, how long did he have left? 3 years?

Jed said we paid £400k for him. Although it may well be that was the original price but in true window salesman fashion the price came down as we have a school nearly, are on a bus route etc.

Even in that situation, we still haven't paid a fee (yet), which Spurs will get when we sell him. Well don't forget Jed told everyone the deal was around 400k, as if we had paid Spurs that money.

We did not pay any fee for him. We simply took over his existing contract. Fact.

But if that's true, that would imply Jed is a massive bullshitter. That can't be right, can it?

Have any James Constable rumours started yet? Last time was tremendous entertaining. Pure hyperbole from both sets of supporters.

He's moved to the new manager threads with Sheena Easton. The quotes from our pal Gary Waddock doesn't seem that positive.
