If we could get a decent fee, I'd sell.

Luongo's been one of our most consistent performers this season. He's had to play a more reserved role with Kasim/Mason/Harley all being missing for various reasons, and I think as a result he doesn't burst forward as much as he would (as indicated by his goalscoring record). I don't think he's been as good as he was at the start of the season, but I don't think he's been a dissapointment by any means

Considering Bournemouth were willing to spend £2.5M on a striker who scored 1 goal, I reckon we could get silly money from them for Luongo. Anything that contributes to their huge overspending. I'd even accept 80% of the transfer fee, just so when the financial problems kick in, Power can stick the knife in as a creditor.

But in all seriousness, if we get a decent fee we should sell really, but I'd rather we kept him.

Whether he was tired, or a change in system/personal affected him, or whether his Australia call up made him lose focus I don't know. He just seemed to amble through most of the later games of the season. But I think he will become an important player for us if we can keep him.

All speculation anyway. Remember that host of clubs we beat off to sign Reis...Smiley

Boremuff posted lossed for this last year of £15 million...surely they can't go on like that without suffering eventually....

52 games in his first full season. Give him a break.

Unfortunately Boremuff will get a massive sell on from Saints if they sell Adam Lallana to Liverpool, they have a 25% sell on fee clause, so if he does go to Liverpool for the reported £20m then they will get £5m of that, make their losses next year a bit less.

+1. Really like Luongo and would be gutted if we sell him because other clubs can see what we can't

From what I've heard we have yet to pay a fee for Luongo to Spurs. We only pay the fee to Spurs once we sell him, so he's an asset and a liability.

Another Jed 'half-truth'.
