No not all maybe i read it wrong it just came across that you were having a dig at fans freaking out
I will call people out on people being unreasonable. Being annoyed/concerned? I get it. I'm there as well. But acting as though the season is definitely over and/or we're unable to find and sign replacements. That is something that, to be frank, I find worthy of mocking. Having said that, such stuff has mostly been coming from elsewhere, not on here.

More than over, seems to be suggestions on Facebook that we are getting relegated!

Derby are going to buy Yates, then loan him back to us until the summer.
This is based on absolutely nothing.

How many points away from safety are we?

Really sad to see him go. It’s not beyond hope he may be back, but I’d back him to go there, play and score and be worth a lot of money soon.
8 days of phone calls, agents and rumours ahead. A Scott Twine double on Saturday, and the best manager in L2 in the dugout. They turned Yates and Doyle into what they are. I’m confident they’ll do it again.

I think I'll just stay off STFC related social media until the transfer window is closed. FWIW I think it's a bit shitty of Rotherham to leave it this late into January, but didn't they do the exact same to Carlisle with Yates last season?

You'd think they'd have had replacements lined up as soon as (before) the window opened. They're no dummies.

I just hope it doesn't transpire that he goes to another club as some of our fans would become absolutely pathetic if that happened.

The problem is now this has already created a huge negative ripple amongst the fan base. Where the County Ground has been a positive place recently, it won't be on Saturday and I imagine the fans will turn sour if we go behind.
Big week for Wellens, Power, Jewell etc.
Which is pretty sad seeing as we might need the support but nothing less than i would expect from sections of our fans.

The complete silence from the club after Doyle left suggests to me that they have plans which they are working through.

Precisely. The directors of any business will focus relentlessly on the risks & opportunities facing that business. And since October, Risk #1 for STFC has been that our strikeforce is contracted to other clubs and could be recalled in January. Power is no fool. He & Jewell will have had plans in place for months for precisely this eventuality. We're about to see how robust those plans are.
