Press conference this afternoon could be interesting.

Would be a good time to announce a signing or two.

Anyone remember that the Oxford manager went to a Town away game to watch a striker.... I would put some money on it being Oxford that sign him perm which is super shit but well within their rights. they get a decent striker and also derail their local rivals.

Bradford won't let Doyle go now as Vaughn is suspended and Donaldson has been coming back"the next game" for the last two months.

Grigg is out of our price bracket and we can't afford him.

I think we are going to get some 2nd/3rd rate strikers in now as we have been well and truly shafted by injuries/illness and now recalls.

I have a strong suspicion something is up Towns sleeve but I have no gut feeling on what it is so this press confrence is going to be interesting.

Rotherham aren't going to sell a striker to a promotion rival, you can put that one to bed.

I think I'll just stay off STFC related social media until the transfer window is closed. FWIW I think it's a bit shitty of Rotherham to leave it this late into January, but didn't they do the exact same to Carlisle with Yates last season?
On the subject of social media, let’s hope Yates’ missus sets her pages to private otherwise she’ll become the latest victim of our stalking fanbase....

I’m sure there will be some twists and turns to come, otherwise it will all feel a bit February 2013 in terms of a title charge being derailed....

The Adver and N&S are both owned by same co so just rehashing stories between themselves.

You'd think he'd fill Yate's position on the left?

I hope he's not signing as a centre forward... I don't really rate him from what I've seen on him.

I get the impression he'd be the 'forward thinking' but not an out and out striker option Wellens was talking about.

Fairly straight response from Rovverum here, https://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.uk/news/view,rotherham-united-recall-jerry-yates_34892.htm

The pressure on Jewell is not immense, we now need 3 strikers, and CM a winger at least, I suspect they did not see the Yates recall coming so have been caught out but I hope we are not putting all our eggs in one basket and gambling that we can get Doyle back.

This transfer activity will now define our season clearly, Power has history of leaving deals late, but hopefully with Jewell in charge of transfers we can get some bodies in for Sat of the decent kind.

But I'm hoping that Jewell & Wellens can pull some rabbits out of the hat and have a decent striker or 2 for Sat.

I'm assuming also that Wellens has been given a chunk of money to spend from Ifil moving to Brighton so will pay for a couple of players.

"It will be reviewed next week" according to Wellens.

Not a good time for Rotherham to be fucking about.

How fed up does he sound on a scale of 1-10?
