Gone are the days you could simply rock up at Liddington and pass the time watching the players get put through their paces. I believe it was Fitton’s mob that put paid to that - do you also recall they had the cheek to deny loyal supporters the chance to attend an AGM.... I’m afraid it’s a big no to all your questions.

Pitman has been left out of the Pompey squad for their EFL Trophy game tomorrow - the sort of game you’d expect him to play in.
He’s off somewhere for sure.

A few thoughts from Pompey fans on Pitman. Wherever he goes I'm sure we'll still be picking up a fair chunk of his wages. He's not going to feature here much more this season so I'd imagine he'll want to go somewhere where he'll play.
I would keep him as back up, good finisher.
Like him or not , the bloke knows where the goal is . Decent scoring record for us . Like Chaplin who was a goal scorer , we get rid of him and we are left with marquis who plays like he’s blindfolded in front of goal . Don’t understand jackett one bit
He might as well feck off, he isn’t being given a fair crack by Jackett. He’s the best goalscorer we have, so letting him go is madness imo.
Wonderful player for us over the last few years but he’s well and truly over the hill now.
He's far too good to be used in a bit part role. He scores goals ffs, was scoring them for fun till he fell out with KJ (it seems).
We don’t exactly play attacking football either, none of our forwards gets many chances in a game. With the right team playing to his strengths Pitman will still score a hatful, as will be demonstrated if he leaves.
I hope it's just a false rumour as he was linked with Swindon at the start of the season. KJ is obviously trying to offload him for whatever reason only known by him. As Ex Gaffer has already correctly stated he is our best natural goalscorer who isn't getting a look in.
He's a far better player than Marquis & can create something out of nothing. Also, what happens if he leaves & we get an injury to Marquis or Harrison or both? As I've stated before on here I'd rather see KJ go & Pitman stay.
Sounds a bit speculative at the moment. According to The Sun IF Eoin Doyle is recalled by Bradford, Pitman and Sunderland's McNulty are their top targets. Plymouth also interested in making a move on him apparently. Having seen them all in a blue shirt, out of Pitman, Doyle and McNulty, who would you prefer leading the line? I always liked McNulty - mobile, athletic and a very decent goal-scoring rate.
This was speculated on last summer as well. He's finished here & maybe better for all parties if he moved. But as I understand it he's based in Bournemouth & is loathe to move out the area.
As Doyle is looking increasingly likely to return from his loan spell to Bradford, Swindon will be looking to recruit a proven goalscorer to replace him. I truly believe a move to Swindon would suit Pitman as they are currently top of the league and playing decent football and play a style into which he could easily fit. His days with us are clearly numbered so if he is looking to win a final medal of his career he could certainly do worse than joining Swindon who are clear favourites with all bookies to clinch the League Two title.

Plymouth fans getting twitchy that we’ll pinch Pitman.
Local Pompey rag reckons we’re likely to sign him.

If he doesn’t want to move from Bournemouth, then that helps our cause. Can someone send him the roadmap to Plymouth, just for comparison?
