I've still got my silver jubilee mug from 1977. I'm not averse to the odd few bits (I collect some shit myself) but it's these 'low grade bandwagon-celebrate anything' castoffs I can't stand. Like; The Royal 'In Memory of the Celebration of the Engagement of William & Kate' Mug or 100% Cotton 'To Commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Former Royal Butler Paul Burrell' Teatowel

The cunts trying to force their way into Alder Hey hospital last night, absolute scum.
They wouldn’t have a had a clue what their next step would have been if they had got inside

Maybe they could beat a couple of nurses up, that'll learn them. Fucking idiots.

Sadly they did, they were planning on setting off the fire alarms to force the hospital to be evacuated. You just genuinely despair at your fellow humans sometimes.

So the poor wee lad has an undiagnosed neurological condition, but now the Vatican has got involved - if they don't know what is wrong with him (and I know from personal experience that neurological conditions are very little known about) where are they going to get this 'alternative treatment' from that the Pope is going on about.

But, without knowing a huge amount about this, this does seem to join an increasing list of cases where hospitals are going to court to enforce withdrawing treatment or prevent a terminally ill child from being taken abroad for treatment. Which I also don't understand. I know if it was my kid I would want to try everything possible. It may be they're being offered false hope by this supposed alternative treatment in Italy, and it may well be a lost cause, but why stop the parents from at least trying?

I am prepared to give the NHS the benefit of the doubt on such matters they tend not to just stand by and watch kids suffer! I agree with you about wanting to try absolutely anything for your kids, but sadly too many of these cases are occurring where the kids and their parents are potentially being exploited by third parties for commercial gain (as with Charlie Gard) or religious dogma as possibly in this case. Its a horrific minefield which I would not wish on my worst enemy!
